Pay Range:
The full pay range is $19.73 - $29.59 per hour. Depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available. Incentives targets vary by role.

We are seeking a Limited Duration Operational Analyst to join our team! This position completes a variety of critical deposit operation processes and tasks related to ACH, wire transfers, check deposits and withdrawals, member transactions, and general accounting functions. Provides support to members, branches, and other departments by answering questions and researching and resolving inquiries and disputes.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes end-to-end ACH processing daily in accordance with required rules and regulations. Downloads
    incoming ACH files, completes processing jobs, reviews, analyzes, and decides to reject/un-post transactions.
  • Researches and resolves exceptions, processes death notification entries (DNE) and reclamations, and compiles and transmits ACH origination and return files. Responsible for file retention and reporting.
  • Reviews and processes member and internal incoming and outgoing wire transfers daily. Communicates with other financial institutions regarding wire disputes and requests. Identifies errors and guides branch staff on corrections to ensure wires are complete and accurate. Responsible for tracking and maintaining trending reports.
  • Analyzes Remote Deposit Check (RDC) images for accuracy and risk factors, including fraud detection and keying errors. Ensures deposited checks meet credit union RDC policy requirements. Decides if checks are to be paid or rejected per check rules and credit union policies and adjusts member accounts accordingly.
  • Reviews daily member check inclearings. Processes posting jobs in core software system; researches and resolves exceptions complying with check rules and regulations. Finalizes items to be paid or returned daily and collaborates with item processor to ensure returns are filed timely and per check rules.
  • Research and processes returned deposited check items daily. Responsible for tracking and maintaining trending reports.
  • Analyzes reports and performs detailed research of payment related transactions. Makes necessary adjustments to member accounts and submits adjustments through check and card network platforms. Researches and resolves incoming adjustments from other financial institutions.
  • Collaborates closely with fraud and collection departments to identify and escalate potential fraud and other high-risk transactions across all deposit operations channels. Makes decisions and recommendations using knowledge of rules and regulations governing payment systems.
  • Provides support to member facing teams by handling escalations, complicated research and error resolution, and answers difficult account questions for members and employees across all deposit operations channels.
  • Researches and resolves member check, ATM, ACH, and Remote Deposit disputes in accordance with applicable regulations. Tracks dispute progress and documents resolutions in dispute platform.
  • Notifies members and other financial institutions, in writing and by and other communications, regarding notification, escalation, or resolution of disputes.
  • Maintains knowledge and complies with Reg E, UCC 3 and 4, Reg CC, ECCHO rules, NACHA rules, Green Book, and all other applicable state and federal regulations in the processing of transactions and handling of exceptions, disputes, and adjustments.
  • Reviews and recommends updates for processes and procedures within the Accounting Department. Drafts new internal procedures as needed and looks for efficiencies within current practices.
  • Prepares and posts journal entries to the general ledger. Completes assigned monthly general ledger reconciliations.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High School Diploma (GED equivalent)
  • Two (2) years of financial institution experience.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Deposit operations experience.
  • Associate degree with a focus in Accounting or Business focus.
  • ACH Network and Check Network Certifications.

    • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Reg E, UCC 3 and 4, Reg CC, ECCHO rules, NACHA rules, Green Book, and all other applicable laws.
